Big venue spaces like arena halls, hotel ballrooms, and large marquee setups usually waste valuable floor area when relying on standard 5ft or 6ft tables. Moving up to an 8ft (244cm) footprint increases guest density to 12 or 14 people per table. That drops your overall table, linen, and centrepiece counts for large-scale banquets, while keeping wide service aisles open between table rings.
A 244cm span requires serious structural strength to avoid central sagging under full dinner service loads. The top uses a heavy 19.5mm exterior-grade plywood core, finished with four coats of hard-wearing clear lacquer on top and two moisture-blocking coats on the underside. A thick, continuous black PVC rubber edge strip is wrapped around the full perimeter to absorb high-impact shocks when crew members roll these heavy units across hard concrete loading docks.
The support frame features black powder-coated steel wishbone legs, built with heavy-duty spring locking mechanisms to lock out side-to-side wobble. All frame fasteners use countersunk flush rivets so the wood face remains totally flat, preventing tears on expensive table linen. When teardown starts, the leg assembly collapses completely flat within the frame contour, allowing maximum density when loading onto venue transport trolleys.
